Q: Why should I hire a wedding or event planner?
A: Our job is to look at the big picture to ensure that your event is running smoothly as a whole, whereas many of your vendors are most concentrated on their particular aspect of the event. We are there to look out for your best interests and to be your voice behind the scenes. We will relieve any stress from the client, family and guests through our meticulous attention to event management and logistics. We have worked with many of the area's event professionals who rely on our referrals for business. We can save the client time and money through offering vendor referrals that fit your particular style and budget criteria.
Q: How many events do you schedule in one day?
A: We have several lead event planners and part-time assistants on staff; therefore we are able to schedule multiple events on the same day.
Q: My venue has a wedding specialist or event coordinator; do I still need to hire an event planner?
A: Yes. Typically the venue's event coordinator is only present to ensure that their venue is safe, well kept and to oversee their food service staff. She will not be coordinating all of the activities throughout your event, ceremony or reception. At some locations an event coordinator is overseeing several events at once. Clients should specifically ask what services the in-house coordinator will provide. We have developed professional relationships with many venue coordinators and work well in conjunction with their staff.
Q: Are you a certified wedding planner?
A: Yes. We have obtained our certification through The Association of Bridal Consultants. Certified means that we have completed an intense program to learn every aspect of planning and coordinating a wedding. Think of it this way...would you hire an accountant that didn't go to school to learn his trade?
Q: Is this your full time job?
A: Yes! This is our passion and we dedicate ourselves to our work.
Q: Can I afford to hire an event planner?
A: Absolutely! Head Over Heels has carefully designed packages that are competitive yet affordable. While hiring another vendor may seem costly, an event planner can offer valuable advice to save you time and money, and in turn earn her own fee. We offer many levels of service to accommodate most clients.
Q: Only affluent women with extravagant weddings hire wedding planners, right?
A: Wrong! A wedding planner can help on even the most intimate celebrations. Our purpose is to worry about all of those little details that you do not have time to think about and to deal with any problems that may arise throughout the day. We are here to relieve you and your family from the stress of the wedding whether you have 20 guests or 200 guests.
Q: Do I need a wedding planner even though my family members offered to help out?
A: Yes. A professional wedding planner will provide you with the high quality level of service that you deserve. Even though family members have good intentions, they do not have as much experience as a professional wedding planner. Your friends and family deserve to enjoy the day as well, not spend the day working. A wedding professional will not be distracted by chatting with long lost family and friends. We are there solely to keep the event on track and to make sure the day runs smoothly.
Q: How do I choose which wedding & event planner to hire?
A: The major factor that you should consider is whether you get along with the consultant that you choose to hire. You will be spending a lot of time with the consultant while planning one of the most important days in your life. You need to choose a consultant that you can trust, be open and honest with, and share laughter. It is wise to request a complimentary initial consultation before making your final decision.
